Matthew 11:1-6
- doubt was always associated with a believer in the New Testament
- a doubt requires two propositions (disbelief and belief)
- even John the Baptist doubted
- before Jesus began his earthly ministry, John was put in jail (so John couldn’t see Jesus’ miracles –> he sent his disciples to keep an eye on Jesus)
- in his doubts, John went straight to Jesus
- stop looking for answers
- FIRST, seek the Lord (that is the answer)
- if we look to miracles, we will be fooled
- Jesus referred to an Old Testament prophecy (he gave John the Word of God)
