3.8.15 The Healing of a Blind Man at Bethsaida

Speaker: Philip Chung

  • Mark 8:22-26 (beginning of Act 2 of Mark)
  • Jesus was demonstrating to his disciples their blindness by taking two tries to heal the blind man
  • Jesus is going to show his disciples that he came not to conquer, but to suffer.
  • God does not exist to fulfill our desires
  • We were forgiven for a reason
  • God covers our shame
  • He covered the shame of Adam and Eve with leather
  • He covers the shame of our sin with Jesus’s crucifixion
  • We are not saved just because we believe we are
  • We need to pursue righteousness (detesting our sin)

Love, Galbi
